1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Rentweet ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Rentweet is an online property listing platform connecting property seekers with landlords, realtors, and property managers across Kenya. We provide tools for listing properties, searching for housing, and facilitating communication between parties.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete registration information
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
One person may not maintain more than one account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. User Roles

Rentweet supports the following user roles:

Property Seekers - individuals looking to rent or buy property
Landlords - property owners who list their properties
Realtors - licensed real estate professionals (subject to verification)

5. Listing Guidelines

When creating property listings, you agree to:

Provide accurate and truthful information about the property
Only list properties you own or are authorized to list
Use genuine photographs of the actual property
Keep pricing information current and accurate
Not engage in misleading or deceptive advertising
Remove listings once the property is no longer available

We reserve the right to remove listings that violate these guidelines without notice.

6. Prohibited Activities

Users must not:

Post fraudulent, misleading, or spam content
Impersonate another person or entity
Collect personal information of other users without consent
Use automated systems to scrape or harvest data from the platform
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems
Engage in discriminatory practices in property listing or selection
Use the platform for any illegal purposes

7. Payments and Fees

Certain services on Rentweet may require payment. All payments are processed securely through M-Pesa or other supported payment methods. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to modify our fee structure with reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

Rentweet acts as a platform connecting property seekers with property providers. We do not:

Guarantee the accuracy of any listing information
Participate in or mediate transactions between users
Assume responsibility for the condition of any property
Guarantee the identity or trustworthiness of any user

Users are encouraged to independently verify all property details and exercise due diligence before entering into any agreements.

9. Intellectual Property

The Rentweet name, logo, design, and all platform content (excluding user-submitted content) are our intellectual property. Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant us a license to display it on the platform.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are reported by other users. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

11. Accessibility Commitment

Rentweet is committed to ensuring our platform is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet WCAG 2.1 AA compliance standards. If you encounter any accessibility barriers, please contact us so we can address them promptly.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
